Make yourself at home.
Start with one sample
Open the app, name your local workspace, and choose Add sample. Enter a name and the location. A photo is optional. Use the extra details for a customer, product, lot, approval state or review date. Saving stores the record on this device first.
Print and scan a label
Open a sample and choose Print label, or select samples in the register to print a batch. Choose A4 or Letter and label dimensions, then use your browser’s print dialog. Print at 100% scale. QR codes contain an opaque Sampleory URL; they do not grant public access to sample details.
Choose Scan to use your camera. If permission is denied or the camera is unsupported, type the reference in the lookup field. Offline lookup can only find records stored on this device.
Install and work offline
Load the app online first and allow installation to finish. In supporting desktop or Android browsers, use the browser’s install action. On iOS Safari, use Share → Add to Home Screen. Reload once while online before testing offline access. Public guides remain outside the app’s service worker.
Free tracking stays local. Paid edits queue on the device and sync after reconnecting. Paid offline access expires within seven days or earlier if the entitlement ends; reconnect to refresh it. Photos must be downloaded through Settings to be available offline.
Keep a complete backup
Settings → Export complete backup downloads an archive with records and available photos. Save it outside the browser. Restore accepts a Sampleory archive only into an empty local workspace and checks file paths, sizes, schema and limits. CSV is useful for current text fields but does not preserve photos.
When two people edit the same sample
Sync & conflicts preserves the local proposal next to the current server version. Choose the server version, or explicitly reapply your changes against it. You can export the proposal first. Later changes to the same sample wait until the conflict is resolved.
Trash is different from disposal
Disposed is a physical status you choose with confirmation. Trash is a record deletion with a 30-day restore period. Review dates do not automatically approve or dispose of a sample.
Storage or sign-in trouble
If storage is full, keep the form open, export a backup, free browser storage carefully and retry. Request persistent storage in Settings where supported. Verification and password reset require email delivery and an internet connection. Provider setup must be complete before production use.
